The RCDA is a not for profit company, limited by guarantee. It is responsible for the administration, management and maintenance of a wide range of local and community facilities and services, mainly based around The Rosslare Community and Sports Centre, which incorporates the community centre, running track, tennis courts, football pitch, bowling green, gymnasium and crazy golf, a village garden which is fully wheelchair accessible, a very small village charity shop and it also provides accommodation for Lollitots Creche. The RCDA also provides considerable support to the environmental work done by the local Tidy Towns Committee. A biodiversity grant has been sourced for new planting and refurbishment of the Access for all Garden but that needs to be matched by RCDA funds before it can be accessed.
Apart from grant assistance from Pobal (a government funder for the community and voluntary sector) which pays the wages of a manager and a number of Community Employment workers, all other expenditure for the ongoing management and maintenance of its facilities and services comes from donations, leasing of facilities, sales in the charity shop, several fundraising events, including an annual Field Day.
